Youth Karate

The youth karate program is designed for children between the ages of 9 - 12 years old. The program focuses on the practice of traditional Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate-do.

Youth classes are highly structured. Students focus on perfecting their karate basic moves, learning movements patterns, and practicing how to defend themselves. Students of the program feel like they belong to a special community. Each participant is encouraged to perform their best every single class.

Students of this program are constantly learning more about themselves physically and mentally. Students work on improving their physical strength, speed, and coordination. Students diligently practice mindfulness. There's a great sense of focus and dedication that's developed by children enrolled in this class.

My twins have been taking karate lessons for 8 months now and they absolutely love it! Sensei Sean is extremely patient and very encouraging to all his students. He challenges them to be the best version of themselves and the children all support and encourage each other which is so wonderful to see. This is an excellent program, suitable to all kids and I’d highly recommend it!

My daughter started taking karate classes almost a year ago at age 9. Her training has been a tremendous boost to her confidence as well as her physical conditioning. She has also been given the opportunity to attend seminars, competitions, and extra training classes without any pressure from Sensei Sean, but always with positive encouragement. As a parent I love that she is being active and able to be part of the team, but also able to work at her own level. Most of all I am grateful that Sensei incorporates the value of  hard work, respect, discipline, and dedication into his training and lessons with his students.

Our 10-year-old son was hesitant to enroll in karate but since he has there is no looking back. He enjoys the discipline karate brings his life and loves the strength he gains while training. Sensei Gore has nurtured and cultivated a drive for respect for both himself but also others. Thank you, Sensei Sean, for the support and skills you bring our son!
